As a non-profit organization, Medallion seeks to provide performance opportunities not only for its students, but also for area professional musicians, actors, and dancers. Booking fees charged by Medallion are substantially less than "for profit" booking agencies, so the performers are able to retain a larger percentage of their earnings.
